SEO that compounds.

Most SEO engagements optimise for a number you cannot deposit. Traffic goes up, revenue does not follow, and nine months disappear. We run SEO the same way we run everything else — backwards from the money.

The problem

Traffic up. Revenue flat.

This is the most common shape of a failing SEO programme, and it is genuinely confusing to sit inside, because every report looks like progress. Sessions climb. Keyword counts climb. The invoice gets paid. Revenue does not move.

It happens because ranking and selling are different problems. A page can be perfectly optimised for a query and still be the wrong page to answer it — informational content pulling in readers who were never going to buy, or commercial pages that rank and then fail to close because nothing on them addresses the actual hesitation.

Why it persists

Why the usual approach stalls.

The standard playbook treats SEO as a volume game: more keywords, more posts, more links. It is measurable, it is easy to sell, and it produces exactly the traffic-up-revenue-flat pattern above — because volume is a proxy for the thing that matters rather than the thing itself.

We start from the opposite end. Which searches are made by people with money and intent? What has to be true on the page for those people to act? Everything else — the technical work, the content calendar, the authority building — follows from those two answers instead of preceding them.

The method

How we actually do it.

No black box. This is the sequence, and the order matters more than any individual step.

  1. 01

    Fix the foundation

Crawlability, index bloat, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, internal linking. Unglamorous and non-negotiable — no amount of content outruns a site the crawler struggles to read. This is also where we find the pages already ranking that nobody optimised, which is usually the fastest revenue in the whole engagement.

  2. 02

    Build topical authority

Search engines reward demonstrated depth on a subject, not scattered posts chasing individual keywords. We map the full territory your buyers search across, then build clusters that cover it properly — each piece earning its place and linking to the others so authority accumulates rather than dissipating.

  3. 03

    Convert the traffic you earn

The step almost every SEO engagement skips. Organic visitors arrive with different intent than paid ones and need a different path. We apply the same conversion systems from our CRO work to the pages search sends people to, so rankings turn into revenue instead of a nicer-looking analytics dashboard.

FAQ

Straight answers.

How long before SEO does anything?

Technical fixes and existing-page optimisation can move things inside 30–60 days, because you are improving pages search already trusts. New content competing for meaningful terms is a 6–9 month proposition. Anyone promising page one in 30 days is describing a keyword nobody searches.

Do you build backlinks?

Where they are genuinely earned. We do not buy links or run private blog networks — the risk is asymmetric and the ranking gains are borrowed rather than owned. Most sites we audit have more to gain from fixing internal linking and consolidating cannibalised pages than from any link campaign.

Can we do SEO and paid at the same time?

Yes, and it works better than either alone. Paid tells you within a week which messages and search terms actually convert. That intelligence makes the SEO content plan far less speculative, and the organic rankings eventually lower your blended acquisition cost.

What if we already have an SEO agency?

Then start with the audit and nothing else. You will get an independent read on whether the current programme is working, with specifics. If it is, keep them — we will say so.
